Is The Lazy Pig ebook worth the money or is it just a load of hogwash? I have seen a lot of bad reviews, but the fact that it received a testimonial from someone that I have had dealings with sort of swayed me that it might be okay. Opinions, please.

i dont believe in ebooks . i dont think that paying for ebook (something of $10-$150) will make you rich . there is nothing special in ebooks . all they are just compiled freee information .. fundamental rules to be successful in affiliate marketing are as follows :
> you need traffic to make money .
you may use SE(articles etc ), tell a friend ,asking peoples to subscribe newsletters ,link partners etc etc ... why dont you get all these info free of cost from search engines . view other peoples websites . get new ideas and implement it in your life . personally i never used any ebook because i dont want to pay for anything that is available free of cost

This is absolute nonsense! I have purchased many ebooks and some of the information I have received through them has more than paid for the asking price.

Wallace DON'T take the advice of someone who has not read the ebook. The best thing is to take the advice of someone who is EXPERIENCED in affiliate marketing who can give you an honest appraisal NOT someone whose 'advice' (given in other parts of this forum) is spurious to say the least especially someone who probably thinks that having your own domain name is a waste of time when you can use a 'freebie such as blogger.

The word 'splog' comes to mind...

forums are for open discussion you can express your thoughts and its visitors choice to decide if its useful or not . as far as blogs i think blogs are making more money for me than websites so i prefer to use blogs .i found most ebooks i purchased are waste of my money . i can get that info free on google /websites etc . so
i did not mean to hurt anyone but probably you did not like my advice because ebooks are main source of your earnings (sbi etc )
---
i like this ebook because its 100% free . and dont think any paid ebook will give me better info

Mate, an honest unbiased review of a particular product is worth 1000x more then some testimonial. Testimonials for the large part are just business relationships where internet marketing networks back eachother's products.

the lazy pig ebook gives some good general affiliate advice but you can find out 100 times more info for free by looking through this site and the forum.

also i tried his "revolutionary" adsense method which was basically buying wholesale expired domain traffic to get adsense clicks. the traffic he suggested to buy, i dont know what it was probably a computer - but i got 7000+ impressions and a magnificent 0 clicks. so that put pays to his "revolutionary" new approach

To me, that sounds like saying "I don't believe in education" or "I don't believe in knowledge".

Perhaps you've been unlucky with the ones you've bought.

Sure, there are some bad ebooks out there. However, there's even more bad, unreliable or outdated free information. If you rely on free information the huge challenge you face is that it's very difficult to know who to trust.

Every year, I spend thousands of dollars on ebooks, marketing courses etc.

If I want to keep making enough money to give me a good lifestyle and so that I can afford to pay my staff I need the sort of expert knowledge I can get only by spending money.

I haven't read The Lazy Pig.

Hey Andrew1, thanks for that bit of info. No one wants to give up any details about the system, so it was nice to get a clue as to what the book is about.

I once tried buying traffic like you described and my results were the same as yours.

no problem wallace. personally i'm glad i didnt pay to get that particular ebook but i find it reprehensible that people like the lazy pig are making money selling regurgitated info and completely phony adsense systems. there are dozens of good infoproducts out there but i guess you just have to be careful and avoid ones like this which sell only on the basis of a very slick sales letter.

if you want a good adsense system i would recommend the neil shearing autoincomesecrets one. it actually requires a lot of work unlike the 1-page websites which lazy pig teaches (which by the way he recommends you sell for $5000 because of all the traffic and income it generates!!)

Did you invoke your right to a refund? Most of these con-artists rely on the fact that most people, even if they feel as if they've been ripped off, won't ask for one.

Screw that. If I know someone is just recycling old crap, or fabricating material, darned straight I'm going to ask for my money back. I've had to write out letters, make phone calls, repeat e-mails, yada yada, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be ripped off and taken for a sucker.

OTOH, there are some really excellent products out there which contain information you're just not going to get for free, and are organized into a nice, neat and strategic fashion which will greatly reduce your learning curve. Once you've found someone you can trust, I think you'll change your opinion, and you'll GLADY buy from them again.

i didnt buy it someone sent me it free fortunately

someone mentioned testimonials. i never read those, my eyes are trained to go right past them. i mean every infoproduct good, bad or awful has lots of positive testimonials so they dont carry any weight at all in my opinion.

Actually, I did have a look at Auto Income Secrets and I wasn't impressed. I started quite a lengthy thread about it and I have to agree with some of the negetive comments made about his ebook. To each his own, I guess.

I would agree that testimonials aren't the best thing to judge an ebook on. It was just that one in particular was written by someone that I have spoken with online and he is a very reputable guy, so it sort of swayed my that the book might be worth reading.

I didn't buy the Lazy Pig, but did buy Auto Income Secrets and I wasn't all that impressed. The author has you buying a LOT of other expensive programs on his affiliate links to be able to follow his system.

Every system out there is old stuff rewritten. There is very little new under the sun.

Even AIS will help me even though I'm not a fan of the program. There is little out there that if you read it you can't get you money out of, IF you read with an open mind and look for what will work for you.

No, Lazy Pig was NOT worth the money. There are good ebooks on the market. This one wasn't one of them. Do yourself a favor and pick up James Martell's book or Aaron Wall's book on SEO instead.
