I *think* I've read this on this forum somewhere but I can't find it anymore... So: are you using also other types of advertising, except for the usual-web-based ones (like AdWords, email lists, banners, etc)? Do you/did you advertise in niche magazines/newspapers? For example, I'm trying to reach out to some potential customers using postcards/flyers. I just had them printed and the distribution will start soon, so I can't say for the moment how efficient this is. Anyone else? _________________ Prepaid calling cards Make money online with our affiliate program - checks paid anywhere in the world!

I read someplace that when people get a flyer with website on it, they actually checkout the website. It is a efficient way to advertise,

Hi Wally, I don't know what things are like over on the islands, but the USPS allows you to upload mailing lists in Excel format, and organize campaigns online. Postcards can be mailed for as little as $0.22 USD. I'm not sure if they allow foreign orders, but check out the Netpost section for more.
You can obtain some good marketing data from SRDS media solutions, it's several hundred dollars, but worth the price. There are also a number of reputable mailing list brokers online that sell lists ala carte.
Make sure you you use online tactics to refine your list. ie. For example, offer them a lost cost item, at cost. This tactic will allow you to snag the surface mail addresses of individuals who are truly interested in purchasing your products.
Fliers, cards etc...Be careful, you might get busted for littering. Remember, untargeted advertising usually has a really low response rate. The cost of purchasing a targeted list is usually worth it in the end.
A little venture I plan on trying: Joint venture with local brick and mortar businesses. If a program is 2-tier, sign them up as a sub-affiliate and let them offer cards and other promotional material to customers. I believe that tactic should help you better target your customers.
