I read a note in an ezine that NetScape users can't see the AdSense ads. Any truth to this?

they are run from js, so I guess if js is disabled, they can't see the ads.

Javascript was invented by Netscape Communications. Thus, if it is VALID and "legal" JavaScript then it would MOST certainly be displayed in Netscape.

HOWEVER, Javascript, like other computer languages, continues to evolve. Thus, there are different versions of Javascript.

Each version of Netscape (Communicator, Navigator, Gecko, etc.) will have it's own engine that parses HTML, Javascript and other extensions (such as FLASH, Shockwave, Java applets, etc.)

Would need to know WHAT version of Netscape was involved, as well as WHAT computer platform it was running on.

Since Google is "king of all things NON-Microsoft" (being Linux based) I can't imagine that Google would totally ignore Netscape! MSIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) is notorious for "expanding" the standards for certain computer languages. (Pushing the envelope).

I'll go research it a bit more... but I would imagine that it was a unique situation that was discussed. I can't really imagine that Google would roll out such a program and just ignoring Netscape (which is now part of the AOL-TIME-WARNER super alliance).

AdSense doesn't work in Netscape 4.7, for me... I haven't tried versions in-between 4.7 and 7.0, however.

Hi All

I use Netscape 7.1 and have no problem in viewing AdSense.

All the best,

Harith
