A really good way to do redirects is through the .htaccess
Example:
If you want to redirect "http://www.yourdomain.com/this.html" to go to "http://www.yourdomain.com/that.html"
enter the following in your .htaccess (note the spaces and everything is on one line - no carriage returns)
Redirect /this.html "http://www.yourdomain.com/that.html"
