Post subject: Adding ads to a second site..
|
|
|
Hi,
I have a site that was accepted into the Adsense program and has been displaying ads for some time. I now have another site with a completely different subject and wish to ad Google ads to it as well.
My question is, can I just add the code to my second site? Do I need to get Googles approval for this first?
Regrads,

You can just add it to the 2nd site. After it's live, the Adsense bot will visit and if the site doesn't pass the rules, you will receive an email from Google requesting you take it off (this is rare). It won't affect your other site, so you don't need to worry.

yeah ... but then how can you track which one of your site is doing well and which is not. all the stats just tell to performance of your whole website network. and having an adsense account for a site is troublesome to keep track of the logins and passwords. so ... any suggestions? _________________ Iszuddin Ismail aka Kidino

You can't. This is one of AdSense's few shortcomings. The topic has been brought up here once or twice, but obody has managed to come up with a solution. _________________ Frank Nordberg

Actually Google has come up with a solution, expected out around the end of the year. Tracking by domain after that, we get to complain about not having tracking by page lol

Call me obsessive (amongst other things), but I like to track each different instance of a repeated link on the same page. For example, if I link from three different places in the text, or experiment with different anchor text.
I've a feeling I might have something to complain about, for quite a while to come.
Cheers,

Ya, but you wouldn't be happy if you weren't complaining. So I look at it as Google keeping Charlie happy

Yes, but it's not really relevant when it comes to AdSense since you're not allowed to have more than one on each page anyway. _________________ Frank Nordberg

True. But perhaps not for the reason you think...
It's all relative. If everyone was always unconditionally positive in their posts, perhaps we would all end up not knowing when to smile. Aren't postive triggers only enthusing because they stand out in an otherwise negative world?
Believe me, when I'm happy, I'm happy.

Oops! Good point Frank. I was just embarking on another crusade then, but forgot this is an Adsense thread.
Cheers,

Debs,
I missed that announcement. Did you find it on the AdSense site somewhere?
Thanks,
