Hi All.
My name is Jae and My nickname is Jaebird.
I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am very interested in creating my own website and becoming a super-affiliate as many you are, but I have only one problem: I am completely brand spnaking new to the uses of a computer.
Outside simple email and web searching I am oblivous. But I am learning a lot, even if it is a bit ovferwhelming at times.
My firsst question to all of you is: How the heck do I make links, use links, etc.
For instance, If I were to write a message on message board like this one, how would I create a link at the bottom to my website, etc?
Or, how would I creat in-context links inside an article?
Is this just so simple knowledge that I have missed the boat? Or does it require special software?
If any of you could help me shed some light on this that would be great.
Thanks. _________________ Jae Burnham

Hmmm...where to begin. Where exactly are you trying to place these links? What type of links? There are simple tags you need to place around the URL(link) in order to do this. If you can give me/us a little more clue as to what you are trying to achieve, I'd love to help. _________________ Jonathan Lyons | Affiliate Manager

What I am trying to acheive is have links going back to may blog.
For instance, if I write a comment in another blog, I would like to know how to create in-context links to my blog. And How would I create a link back to my blog froma resource box in an article or message boards.
You mention putting codes around my URL. What? You'll have teach on a more elementry level for me. Hell I am lucky to even know what you mean when you mention "URL".

Jae, Welcome!
Now that you've introduced yourself, it's time to find other sections of the forum where you can ask all your questions.
There are many good websites which teach basic HTML or can probably get a book out of a library. That's what I did when I was starting out.
You can find some introductory sites here:

Hi Allan,
Thank you for writing and saying "Hi". I really feel honored.
Are you saying that I need to learn HTML to be able to create my Links?

Whatever method you use to create a website, I think it's absolutely essential that you understand a little basic HTML.
Then when something goes wrong, you'll know how to fix it. For example, a simple link on a website uses this HTML:
<A HREF="http://www.example.com">place words here</A>
In your browser, you can look at HTML code to create web pages by clicking on View/Source. Find a very simple page to start with or will be too confusing.
Forums use code that's different from ordinary web pages.
Please ask any more questions elsewhere on the forum. _________________ Allan Gardyne
