Post subject: Blogging does work
|
|
|
I started a blog a couple of weeks ago due to the fact that my site has not been indexed by the SE's yet.
I read about having pages of your new site linked from your blog, that the search engines would visit them quicker. My blog has been going a couple of weeks and I have saved a shot of the stats screen for my website at the address below.
Just to show people that it does work, and they do visit via your blog!

Posting links to your site from a blog definately works. Another trick: post links to your site from a Blogger.com blog and them submit that blog to be crawled at MSN/Yahoo. MSN will index the links to your site within 48 hours. _________________ $278 from just 2 hours of work? Click Here! |

Thats definitely a great way to promote optimized pages. DMOZ also accepts xml/rss feeds, however it takes a lot longer _________________ 75GB Bandwidth, 5GB, 99.99% Uptime, Unlimited Addons, cPanel - $9.95mo

Blogging has been a Godsend for me. I was making less and less money on more and more effort with Adwords. Then I stumbled upon RSS to Blog about 2 months ago and haven't looked back. Keep in mind that this is auto-blogging, not manual blogging, but RSS to Blog creates very good blogs with very clean and relavant content. My adsense revenue is going up about 45% weekly and I'm very happy to say the least.
A side benefit has been that my blogs have been directing traffic back to my main sites. I finally got PR3's on all my main sites during the last google dance.
So Blogging and Pinging works! Do it manually or use a good tool. Stay away from Blog Burner. _________________ Chuck Waters

CharlesWaters -
Yeah Blog and Ping worked like a charm until last week. I cant seem to get anything listed anymore. I use BlogAutoMachine.
Do you do your blogs via wordpress or blogger.com? _________________ 75GB Bandwidth, 5GB, 99.99% Uptime, Unlimited Addons, cPanel - $9.95mo

Don't most blogs put an automatic no follow tag on links? How then can this help with SEO efforts? _________________ Get Paid to Surf the Net Unbelievable but true. I use blogs too to generate traffic. Not much CTR from the blogging site, but I use it for visitors who might want to search for material and redirect to my main site.
Blogger is useful because I can use the same name as my site to show that it is somehow related, and also I can customise the site and place adsense and also create multiple blogs for different topics. I also use other blogs like Yahoo 360 and am considering xanga.com
Good for creating links for the spider as well. I think it is a faster way to get backlinks to your own site though you still have to work at the links exchange for better relevancy.
I read with interest on the auto blogging, but wouldn't that make the search engine think it is being spammed? I know it is quite a bit of work to write different articles on your own for the blog but at least it looks more realistic, right? _________________ Come visit the Cameron Highlands Malaysia for a relaxing vacation travel!

I do have a blog and plan to create a few more... It is easier to update content and also syndicate on our websites.
I also subscribe to them from our msn and yahoo accounts and that helps the yahoo and msn crawl the blog and the website links in the blog. Our new website got crawled in a couple of days.
Now that we have some more subscribers, we may receive more traffic. I guess it still depends on the putting fresh and good content. After all, content is still the king
This helped crawl our new website in a couple of days. Ours is all new ( 1 month old) so I cannot say, we are receiving a lot traffic. we are receiving some traffic. |

I just posted on my blog, how to go about doing this exactly. The link to my blog is below.
While I have your attention. I have an idea. It goes like this... Everyone has an opinion which is what blogs are all about.... I'd be interested in your opinion , review, rant, on your affiliate marketing experience, or product reviews. You could email me them, or pm them to me, here and i'll post them on my blog So you'll be like a guest blogger on my site. In return all i ask for is link to my blog and i'll reciprocate the same way.
Im trying to build an affiliate, marketing, business community with my blog.
Everyone needs good advice and help. I prefer it from actual users of products as opposed to "guru's" sales pitches. _________________ Visit Affiliates R Us!

Wow, wasn't that a bit of Irish. Take some time and clarify your multiple points. You contradict yourself somewhat when you don't want " "guru's" sales pitches" but you do want "good advice and help".
This sounds like a request for someone else to access the guru's sales items, precis them, and regurgitate them as "good advice and help".
Surely, many of these recommended sales items contain all the good advice and help already!!
And I've never read one of them - just a guess moderating the messages here.
