Hello,

I signed up for a web host around this time last year, I paid the yearly fee, and never thought of them again. Now, about a year later I need to cancel before they automatically sign me up for another year, but the problem is that I forgot who they were! I don't know their website, I don't know how I found them, I don't know anything about the company. Is there anyway that I can trace back to them? Perhaps somewhere on the cPanel?...

Please help

You can try and do a Whois on your domain.
Another way is to see where your name servers on the domain are pointing to. Most cases it points to the host company.

You could also try checking your old Credit Card statements from when you signed up.

Of course, that's assuming you keep all your financial statements in order

what about emails u'd been recieved from them ? check yr old emails

nameservers first; unless you ordered dedicated hosting or a reseller hosting package, you're probably using your host's nameservers for the domain.

When you see ns1.yourhost.com (or whatever) - you can then check the whois information on yourhost.com and that ought to reveal the web hosting company who are running the show.

I find http://www.whois.sc is a useful service in these circumstances.
