Post subject: 4 easy steps to make a decent Adsense Income
|
|
|
Hello,
You can make a decent income from Adsense(TM) if you follow 4 steps properly.
1) Find High-Demand and low competition keywords in different niches.
2) Create content pages optimized for those keywords.
3) Insert your Adsense Codes in best viewable places
4) Promote your niche websites with SE Optimization, Blogs, RSS feeds, article promotion etc.
Here is a screen-shot of my adsense income report from different niches:

PS: In the above screen-shot, the 'Needlepoint' Channel includes Embroidery, knitting, cross-stitch, pattern works and needle crafts sub-niches.

If by a small niche, you mean projected traffic is low, you're obviously going to need very high Adsense payouts per click to make it pay.
You might consider buying traffic to supplement the limited free traffic, but the problem is, if the payouts are high, the PPC competition will most likely be steep.
In other words, you'll probably need even more luck and imagination than usual.
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I have a small niche website that gets a few hundred visitors a day and it does pretty well with AdSense (about $300 a month). You can't make serious money with niche sites, but you can create a lot of them and they are easier to rank than competative keyword sites. So you can do well. _________________ $278 from just 2 hours of work? Click Here! |

I have a niche website ... I get several hundred of visitors a day, the site has been continually published for almost 10 years, very little updating to the content, and the site is #1 in its field. The most I've earned with it is $1200 in a month (Feb?March? 2005) but usually it's earning between $300-600. Not enough to live on, but it's enough to get my interest going when I was about to give up on the site.
That is, in 2002-2003 I was getting discouraged ... amazon.com affiliation wasn't doing squat other than paying hosting fees. I nearly gave up on the site, that is until Allyn mentioned adsense. I joined adsense in July 2003 ... it took a few months to get straightened out how to make best use of it. _________________ Free tutorial and guide to building & promoting web sites.

i was doing good for a few days last week on adsense. this was my first try at building a site "around" high cpc adsense keywords. at first, i was optimistic, but now...i'm somewhat discouraged. i started out making about $15/day with a click-thru at approx.

Ad..not bad. now..barely nothing.
anybody here have a similar experience? why would i start off so good and now...nothing?

Yes, making money with very small niches IS possible. It is actually much easier to make money from a website with little competition.

Well, of course you can make a lot of money using adsense. I'm making only 100$ month so far, but I am not promoting my website in any way. 100$ is enough to pay for hosting at least, so it's pretty okay for me.
Small niches usually have less competitors which might lead to being on the first search page. That means a lot of traffic which brings you $. But the amount of $ you get payed per click also depends on the niche and keywords you use.
For example, you definitely wouldn't like to promote niche where CPC is 0.01$
That's a lot of hard work for nothing, imho.
So just when building an adsense website/page, think those tiny steps through. _________________ Adwords PPC Tips - My Blog |

You can make good money with adsense on a small niche if you get traffic. Good money is relative to the individual site owner. Any website making a profit is good money if it doesn't take a lot of time to manage it. I have sites that only make a $1 a day, but I am happy with that because I don't do anything with them so after covering the cost of monthly hosting it is all profit. If you have enough of these kinds of sites you can be making several hundred or thousands of dollars a month pretty much hands off. _________________ Jeff Schuman

Absolutely!
The One, How much is "good money" to you?
Also, how small a niche are you talking about? Here's a specific example. One of my sites is about how to be a club DJ - I regard that as a small niche. It made about $600 last month, mainly from AdSense. You can read the case study here: Affiliate marketing case study
How much revenue you generate is going to depend on an awful lot of different factors. _________________ Allan Gardyne
