It's funny to me that so many people are so desperate to figure out how they're making so much profit. There are dozens of sites in dozens of industries making comparable money. Just go through the Google Adwords for some searches for profitable industry keywords, and look at what they're doing, and voila!
The trick is doing the actual work - the copywriting, the design, the optimizing, the PPC ad buying, the keyword research, the tracking and measuring of results. Finding ideas is easy. _________________ Affiliate Marketing Programs Blog

For people like "us" yet. But just look at the number of times people ask "I don't know what theme to pick for my content site". It starts from there...
Just a thought,

If anyone is interested in the non-affiliate link to Kelly&Summer, the infamous webmasters behind the Ebay site, you can check out their new ebook here: www.therichjerk.com
I've heard rumors that the Ebay extravaganza was just a big marketing ploy. Great hype to sell the ebook. _________________ 2009 Insider Secrets

Has anyone read the book? I was so turned off by the sales letter, I backed out. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Thanks, I checked it out, but didn't find a review that told me much. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I arrived prepared, for the worst, but couldn't help but read more than I usually would.
I've always loved to think humour and controversy are bigger sellers than most people acknowledge, but this "effort" takes some beating. Truly fascinating.
Are all those warriors really buying it?
I'm almost tempted myself. But thanks to Willy Crawford, there's some competition for my "hard-earned" dollars. Scroll down to halfway through the thread, for the link...
I'd mention it here, but I wouldn't want to lower the tone old chap.
Cheers,
Charlie.
P.S. I laugh at quite a lot - but the sales page for this alternative made my face ache. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

That's you're always so serious, Allan!
Personally, I got a good chuckle out of it myself... _________________ Robert

Fair enough. One turned off person doesn't prove anything. I'd love to know what his conversion rate is. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I read the ebook yesterday, and I re-read the ebook today, and I took some notes. I'll post a note here when I've added my detailed review to my blog. I'll do that either tonight or tomorrow.
BTW, I'll be writing a real review without an affiliate link to sell the book.
I'll say in this thread that I have a certain amount of ambivalence toward the ebook. Some of the information is high quality, at least one statement was outright mistaken, and some of the information I'll have to try before I make a decision about whether or not it was good info.
I too suspect that the eBay auction might have been a big teaser to generate buzz about this ebook. _________________ Affiliate Marketing Programs Blog

Private ID's on auctions are usually a sign of "fake bidding" to drive prices up. Allegedly many "turnkey" site sellers were using that to drive bids up to the last minute. It's called "sham bidding."
You can't rely on private ID auctions on eBay as proof of sale. Anyone who's been around for a while should know this. _________________ http://twittersender.com

If anyone is interested, I've posted a 1000 word review of the ebook on my affiliate blog, which is in my signature. (I'm not an affiliate pushing a product in this review, just thought I'd share my thoughts on the ebook with everyone, and didn't want to make a 1000 word post here in the forum.)
Or, if you want the capsule version, I thought the ebook was short but probably worth the money. Some of the insights and info contained in the book were well worth the $97. (But I'm willing to pay $97 for one good idea if it will make a few grand or more.)
On the other hand, a lot of the info is probably stuff you're already familiar with, and the writing style and morality represented in the book are certainly off-putting. _________________ Affiliate Marketing Programs Blog

So would I - but I'd guess it's "better than average". Combine that with the publicity...
That's the intriguing bit for me...
No credibility, downright abrasive (verging on the abusive) and even funny. There's hope for us all...
Unless of course some of those naughty Warriors are in on it as well. Some people will talk about anything!

Please don't take this personally, but that argument is replayed just a little too much for my liking in affiliate circles (probably because it works)...
Think of the psychology behind it. It's certainly hard to resist...
But much as I love the idea of paying for another great idea, I don't have to - and neither do you. I get "great ideas" just reading a story to my five-year-old nephew. (Better still try making stories up.)
If you consider affiliate programs in the IM arena, you know exactly what I mean. Surely it isn't just a question of what works, but why you think it might.
This particular slant on the "what might you be missing" angle is what gets marketing such a bad reputation with many people. You can't defend against it, without appearing narrow minded or cynical, but I can but try.
It's a hard job...
All the best,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Same here... I didn't even finish reading his sales letter...
I am not much in the market for new systems right now, but I just couldn't handle his sales letter... he really does live up to his name... the rich jerk. _________________ Eric D. Burdo
