Hi everyone,
I'm confused and have been so since morning so I decided to find out what you think, before I go crazy or do something stupid.
I have built a page http://ultimatesongwriting.com/song-search.html which links to four other pages about different categories of songs. According to the SBI manager the keywords are very profitable.
My big problem is that I'm wondering whether these five pages are really relevant as far as fitting with my site concept is concerned. I'm wondering whether it's logical to be promoting other musicians' songs, on a website where I'm supposed to be targeting songwriters and providing advice on song writing. (A website where my concept keyword is 'song writing'. This morning I nearly deleted all five pages. Pages which I took the whole of last week to write!
I started thinking this way this morning, after reading about avoiding the mistake of diluting your site's search engine effectiveness, from Ken's affiliate masters course. He was discussing the use of 'pricing' as a site concept keyword, and how one shouldn't use keywords like 'fulfillment' within one's pricing site. How "keywords like 'fulfillment' really deserve their own sites".
Seems to me like I have done exactly what Ken said I shouldn't do. Have I?
Could someone please help me get out of this dilemna. I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance for your anticipated assistance.

Hello Mantius.

On those pages, you are talking about using other song writers for inspiration. I consider this to be relevant to your site concept.
Leave them in place and move on to other pages.
Resist the temptation to fine tune pages, let alone delete them. Keep building new ones in line with the recommended linking strategy.
Just my opinion,

I agree wholeheartedly with Charlie, using other songwriters for inspiration, and inspiration itself, are both very targeted to your concept.
Keep it up

Hi Mantius,
I also agree with Charlie and Debs on this.
Those pages seem to fit with songwriting. It's kind of hard to stay 100% with your theme with all your pages, some of my pages are about cats allright, but are nothing to do with cat-art.
Delete them?.... NO
Bye the Bye, I was very interested to read about the "Let It Be Naked" album, I've not heard anything about this. That is probably because I haven't watched television hardly since starting this Internet thing.

Charlie, Debs and Larry,
I will take your word for it. Thank you for sharing your view. Nice to see how people like you go all out to help.
I'm happy that the 'inspiration' part came across to you. I included it afterwards, because I was afraid that the 'song search', 'break up songs' etc. topics were probably lacking in relevance.
I was afraid to include the inspiration part because I didn't want to confuse a visitor who was simply searching for songs and didn't give a darn about songwriting.

You're more than welcome.
Looking at many of the posts in this forum, quite a few people have a good idea what they are doing, but are just after a bit of reassurance from a second opinion. Maybe you are one of them.

The "inspiration" was the glue that stuck those pages to the concept, if you ask me. It justifies the pages' relevance.

They wouldn't be targeted visitors for the site in general. One you start trying to please everybody, you'll have a very busy time!
I gave up trying years ago!

I guess I'll just leave the thing the way it is.
Yes, do that... and create some more. As a "recovering perfectionist", the pages look fine to me.
Keep up the good work,
