Post subject: which format would be best for a full scale drawing ?

Hi there - I have a question about computer systems, etc, that I hope someone can answer for me - I have a page where I would like to add a link to a full size tracing template (that would be printed out on a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet). My question is : which format should I use to create/link to a drawing, so that people can open and print out the drawing, and so that the scale will not be affected, regardless of which screen resolution they use, etc etc ?
I plan to create a set of templates using Visio technical, but I'm not sure what format I should save them as. I have tried Word and it alters the scaling a little bit (it adds in borders and resizes the image). I thought saving a template as a jpeg might work, but that also alters the scaling. Has anyone handled a problem like this ?
thanks, TT _________________ http://favoriteprojects.com

I would use PDF. That is what they are good at. It will render a document the same regardless of OS, platform or media used to display it (all PDF viewers show the same). _________________ Eric D. Burdo
