I have a series of pages that I need to make for my SBI site that are IDENTICAL in structure, with some minor changes to content.

Is there an easy way to copy them, rather than build each one from scratch?

thanks for any tips you have

Richard, you don't say whether you are using the SBi building blocks, or offline html to build your pages. It would help to know which way you want to go.

I am using the built in SBI method, which is why I am so interested in making a copy a faster way. The page in question has 7 different "blocks".

Can I use both methods? HTML and SBI. If so, I suppose I should be able to make the master using SBI, download it, modify in a text editor, and upload new copy. Yes Question No Question

thanks

BUT, if I use a mixture of HTML and SBI, am I correct in assuming that the ones done in HTML uploads cannot then be modified using the SBI method?

Ok, first things first. If you use the building blocks, then copy the live page to your harddrive, modify what you need to change, then upload it, this is a very good way to quickly keep the same structure across pages.

If you do this, yes, you will have to continue with the modify offline, and upload method to make changes to the pages uploaded.

If you stay with the straight building block method, however, you have two options there as well:

1. Building block each page ... I know Sad this can be a pain with multiple blocks and the same relative structure from page to page;

2. Streamline your blocks (this is what I did before full html compatibility came out). How do you streamline your blocks? I used the first header block for the h1 tag, then one text block for the rest of the page, putting in my own subheading, graphic and link html as I needed it within the block.
