You're the king of this topic Gary. The rest of us are just trying to catch up to where you were 3 years ago. We wouldn't even know we were behind if it wasn't for your books.
Speaking of leveraging the talents of other folks, here's an idea that bounced around my head the last week.
You know how you can syndicate an article written by another webmaster? They write the article, you publish it on your site, with a link and credit to them.
So, how about syndicating a whole site?
You have a 100 page site on widgets. I republish all your articles on my site, with credit and links to you in each article. I add my own comments here and there, and of course, full screen widget flash movies (flash is my latest tech adventure).
In other words, why not skip the step of rewriting each other's content? You're a leading authority on widgets. You've already written 100 excellent articles. How does it serve the visitor for me, a lesser authority if at all, to rewrite your work in my own words?
We split any income I get from the Widget merchant we are both promoting. I give you access to my account with that merchant so you can verify my income.
If we're going to duplicate info for SEO reasons, why not really duplicate it, and really focus on SEO, instead of repackaging?
Food for discussion perhaps... _________________ Free Forum And Ezine Hosting

Under what terms would you let somebody republish your whole site?
How much do psychological "pride of ownership" issues come in to that decision?
Let's say you have a site that sells widgets, and you'd like me to sign up as a 2nd tier affiliate under you.
I say, yes, if you'll let me republish your content, and we split all income my site generates from the widget vendor.
I leverage your content, you leverage my traffic.
How much of you is thinking, "Phil's a lazy bum who wants to steal all the great content I slaved over for months!"
Or, are you excited about developing a new income stream that you can get for _zero_ additional work? (I do all the work of copying your content on to my site)
You'd like me to sell under you, and this is my reply.
What say you?
Thanks for your thoughts. _________________ Free Forum And Ezine Hosting

Post subject: Sample Articles From KeyWordArticles.com
|
|
|
Hi,
Since my site has been mentioned in this thread, I hope it's ok to post a sample.
Credit Card Debt (437 words)
Credit card debt is an ever growing problem in the U.S. Countless American's are finding themselves in a financial bind because of their over spending habits. Credit cards are a dangerous convenience to those who tend to impulse buy.
Recent statistics in regard to credit card debt are staggering. According to The Motley Fool Credit Center (http://www.fool.com/ccc/secrets/secrets.htm) total U.S. consumer credit debt has reached 1.7 TRILLION dollars. Collectively, these card holders pay over 50 BILLION dollars in finance charges, every year.
It is said that, on any given day, approximately 78% of the nation's population would qualify for some type of credit. More than 1.3 million of these card holders will file for bankruptcy, each calendar year.
Credit card companies are as lenient as they can afford to be when it comes to issuing new credit cards and spend MILLIONS of advertising dollars, each year, singing the praises of their specific offer.
They count on the fact that the majority of card holders will, indeed, possess an impulse buying gene. These companies also hope that card holders who apply for a line of credit, to be used only on an emergency basis, will give in when tempted with appealing merchandise.
If you suddenly find yourself struggling with credit card debt there are things you can do that will help to ease your stress and reduce your balances. These common sense steps will assist you in getting your credit card debt, under control.
1. Stop using the cards - this is the simplest way to start reducing your debt. Yes, you still owe for past charges, but cutting up your cards or putting them away in a secure place, will alleviate the urge to purchase things that you don't really need.
2. Stop new credit card offers - It's always tempting to take advantage of a new credit card offer, especially if it is pre-approved. You can easily obtain the forms needed to remove your name from credit bureau lists, by calling 1-888-5OPTOUT.
3. Always pay more than minimum - Credit card companies offer low monthly payments for a reason. The longer it takes to pay off a balance the higher their profit margin. In the long run, you'll be surprised at what a savings this will make.
Credit is a wonderful thing if used wisely. Don't become one of the millions of card holders who are struggling with debt. By setting limits and avoiding un-needed purchases you will stay on the the road to healthy credit.

The fees on my site are going to change early next week. I am going to be focusing more on content packages and bulk orders of 10 or more.

Yep. I suppose it's self-promotional, but it should also be useful for anyone considering buying articles, so I'll leave it. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Phil,
Thought I'd add the following related to your syndicating a whole site idea etc.
There are tons of offline niche experts and specialists that are more than willing to have their articles and content published online and usually you just need to give them a promotional plug with a standard resource box. But of course there's always room for all kinds of joint ventures when you can get access to all their word documents that are almost keyword ready.
There are also some that network with select niche site owners to package their articles and content onto CD's for the offline and online world, again with either a promotional resource box or through joint venture deals etc.
These are just a couple of article and content ideas for some to think about that hold some big 6 figure income opportunities.

Apologies for a slightly off-topic message, but has anyone heard from Merry Vincent in the last week? I had hoped she might start a writing project for me after a move across state but have been unable to get in contact with her. Is she still offline?

Merry e-mailed me over the weekend. She is just settling in and is purchasing a laptop to get things moving more smoothly. I'm sure she'll be contacting you soon. _________________ 2009 Insider Secrets

For Elance, I would recommend posting your bids as "Select" though; that costs a fully refundable $25 deposit that is given back if you receive at least 4 bids I believe and select a winner.
You'll get much more qualified responses. _________________ Robert
