Greetings,
I'm currently running 3 web sites in test mode and hope that others with more experience can help me understand why my statistics appear to be quite off.
Google Adsense code is installed on all pages of each web site. The web sites are reporting stats with awstats. Awstats is reporting approximately 300 hits per day. Google Adsense is showing approximately 30 or less "page impressions." It is perfectly reasonable to expect some variance in the counting results made by different programs, especially when measuring an ill-defined category such as "impressions" or "hits."
Any explanations for this magnitude of variance?

JAson,
Your variance is because hits has nothing to do with visits. Use the visitor count in AWstats to match Adsense impressions |

Sorry for writing "hits" when I meant "unique site visitors" or in my own lingo "distinct IP addresses."
The information provided by Google was very helpful and fully answers my question.
