I know everyone says that you should have some kind of email list so that you can give your members weekly or monthly newsletters or product info. But what should you do if there doesn't seem to be anything to write about to your subscribers. I like the idea but I don't know if my sites will currently handle mailing groups.
Would it be worth my time and money to put one together. and if so, which one is good at low cost?
Thanks for your time.

Aweber has a very reasonably priced autoresponder system which can also be used to send out a newsletter, handle unsubscribes, etc. I think that would be the best way of handling it. You'd only to need to make about $20 a month from your newsletter to make it worth while, and you'd be building up a valuable asset. If you can't make $20 a month from a mailing list you're doing something seriously wrong.

I agree with Allan ... AWeber is a good choice (I use them, myself).

Your site host may also have mailing list software available for you to use for free via your admin panel ... give it a looksee.

One of the main ideas behind building a list off each web site is to hold onto your site visitors ... create and nurture a relationship with them

Simply give them what they wanted in the first place, information based on your site's theme ... articles, tips, news, updates ... even an article series or free course.

A site visitor is a terrible thing to waste, and you can't just hope they'll keep coming back ... you have to give them a good reason. Wink

Much success,

Mike 'has over 50 lists and sublists' Merz
