For sure! Repeat visitors are generally in a much more open frame of mind to buy.

Yes, the lesson I learn from this "thin affiliate" thread is that we should, to the greatest degree we are able, not put other web sites in a position to define ours.

So, if we're going to develop other sources of traffic beyond the search engines, repeat traffic seems like a productive place to focus some effort.

My guess is that a repeat traffic strategy would involve a number of sub-strategies, and I see my tool fitting in to that, one little tool in a hopefully much larger toolbox. Maybe a new thread on repeat traffic strategies is in order.

Thank you. My marketing system is to first give Allan an opportunity to "break the story". Once he's made his decision, I'll start blabbing about it. Coming down the home stretch...

I haven't read all the posts on this topic so I hope I am not adding something irrelevent here? I don't think I am?

Anyway, I think we need to look at this calmly. There are millions of web sites on the Net. Here's a quote from Netcrafts June Newsletter:

"In the June 2005 survey we received responses from 64,808,485 sites, an increase of 1.27 million from last month's survey. In the first six months of the year, the Internet has added 7.83 million sites, a pace which approaches the torrid growth rate of 2000, when the Web added 16.1 million sites. By comparison, the survey added 10.4 million sites in 2003 and 10.9 million in 2004."

These are just incredible statistics! And remember the number of sites is increasing every month.

How many people will Google need to employ to physically visit even just 0.1% of these sites?

Should the average working stiff netpreneur be worried?

I like to remember what Ken Evoy says "Just keep building great content".

Well, Google guys must not visit EVERY web site. I think it's enough for them to visit the top 10 sites for each high-paying keyword. That's still a lot of work but probably manageable.

Although not nearly as fun, folks really shouldn't believe everything they read on the internet.

Many of you know Andy Williams, the SEO expert.

Did you see this line is his latest newsletter about the thin affiliate issue?

Quote:
In my opinion, probably 99% of affiliate sites being built today
are "thin", and wont do well in Google.

Interesting comment from an experienced fellow. Made me sit up straight in my chair and pause to ponder.
