Good evening one and all,

I'd like to pose a quick question to the forum, see if someone would be kind enough to help me with a small problem?

I have a website in which I have a number of links I wish to disguise / conceal / cloak etc etc.

However, the problem seems to be finding a program that will cloak a webpage that contains anywhere between three to six different affiliate links. (Before someone quite sensibly asks, no, it isn't possible to seperate the affiliate programs to seperate pages due to the info centre nature of the site!)

I am not a technical coding genuis - by a long way, lol - and would need the program to be "clear" enough in it's use and explanations.

Does anyone have experience of such a program by any chance?

All and any advice from "Cloakers" to a "Potential Cloakee" would be respectfully and gratefully received.

There are a lot of scripts available to cloak affiliate links, you can do an easy search on Google for variety. One that I've studied is Namestick.com.

The thing you really have to be careful of though ... does the merchant allow cloaking of their link? Some do, some don't. That is, if you mean cloaking as hiding the affiliate status of the link in the browser once it is clicked.

Now, do you mean cloaking the link so that when the mouse hovers, it shows something different than the full affiliate url? If so, you can include a simple javascript in the link, Commission Junction offers this for all affiliate links if you choose to use it.

This thread goes into greater discussion on the javascript:

Hope this helps,
Debs
