Dogs and cats must be trained and properly fed. Dogs need to be housebroken and have regular visits to the veternarian. Dogs also need to be trained to walk on a leash.
Cats are another example of a pet that needs care. Cats like to eat and thus need cat food.
Dogs and cats.

And "Yes" this is a test to see if "AS" will put pet , dog, or cat ads at the bottom of this page later on.
Take care of your pet, whether it is a dog or cat. |

I got PSAs every time I refreshed. I love the experiment though.
We're discovering more and more how important the domain name and the site theme are. Individual pages are MUCH less important.

I just came to read the follow-up messages and there were two ads at the bottom for dog leashes.
When I clicked on "Post Reply" to type this message, it switched to PSA's.

Did someone say "Cats" 
Nothing to do with the subject of your post, but do you have a pet related website? Or was the choice of Cats and Dogs random for the test?
I see one ad for dog collars and one for dog leashes.
Interesting experiment. Lets even it up for the cats. If everyone was posting I see ads for cat collars, then no doubt the ads displayed would be for cat collars. This is assuming that there are advertisers for cat collars, I suspect there will be adverts for cat collars, because you can find some pretty ornate cat collars, cat collars of every type in fact.
If ads for cat collars do not appear, then perhaps the phrase cat collars does not appear enough times. On the other hand advertisers of cat collars may have exceeded their cat collars budget for this month, but no doubt next month we shall see cat collars ads return.

I see dog collars and leashes not cat collars no cat collars are there but if I see cat collars i will be suer to let you know that i seen cat collars because i know your looking for cat collars.
Why are you looking for cat collars. I know this is just an experimant to see if cat collars comes up well let me know if you see cat collars. |

After I wrote that above the PSA came back no cat collars even afetr 10 relaods still no cat collars oh wel maybe after google comes again we will see cat collars adds and I will keep looking for cat collars. Although I did this experiament on my site with Time manangement it didn't go to good but I think deb pointed out that maybe there was no time manangment advertisers in adsense.
I'll keep looking for the cat collars though

I saw dog collar ads yet again so I did a little research at Overture.
80,000+ searches for "dog collar" in September with the top ad paying 75 cents per click.
That fascinating considering dog collars probably don't sell for more than $10-$15 U.S. normally. At 75 cents a click, they must convert a lot of visitors or get a lot of add-on sales.
Sorry felines, but it looks like cat, cats, meow, felines, etc. are getting left out of this experiment.

Lol, well I guess toilet training is close enough
All in all, I think AdSence is well worth displaying on your site. You may not make enough to retire from it, but it's all additional income, and who's gonna refuse that

This seems like the perfect example to ask something I'm not quite clear on:
You say 75 cents per click, so how does that translate to how much the webmaster of this site would get from Google for someone clicking on the "dog collar" ad at the bottom of this page? |

No one really knows because no one knows the percentage AdSense pays.
If AdSense pays 50% and someone clicked on an ad by the advertiser in the number one position, the site owner would get 37.5 cents.
