Post subject: trying to add an RSS feed
|
|
|
Hello all-
I created an RSS file for my 'Saving' site and I would like to add it to my index page within a table so it displays new headlines and has dynamic info.
I used Build a Feed (run a search on that term and you'll find it), which creates a Javascript code that can be pasted into your source code. But it's my understanding that spiders won't read the content, so I'll get no help in terms of SEO.
I did find a script called rss2html.php that allows spiders to read the titles and descriptions of the feed itself, but I'm having trouble implementing it. I'm only a novice when it comes to html coding and I don't know php at all.
Can someone help or maybe point me to an easier way of adding the RSS feed?
Thanks!!

nice! I just set up a 'Recent Article' feed using Magpie!
It was much easier than some of the other options out there. I spent most of my time racking my brain over the simplest thing...I forgot to change the name of my index page from .html to .php.
thanks edburdo! _________________ How to Make a Website
