I recommend pingomatic too... but this service has been givign problems lately... it was down y'day for quite some time..
Tho I think you do not need to submit to all directories... tho you do need your normal Link Exchange..
oh stephen I had problem with moveover ... I hav blogs with Blogger so they hav URL liek this http://myblogs.com/atom.xml(rss feed) do I need to put RSS feed in there or just URL for the blog

What a list !!!
on the ping submit and feed. I use blogger (blog in siggy) I am curious how to go about putting the feeds in the template or can you? I know mine is an atom feed (whatever that means).
You know to set up an auto ping ?

I recently created a bunch of new blogs but when I try adding them to MY Yahoo acount it says that is cannot find them. I copied the site feed address straight from blogger.
Any ideas?

I tried to ping my blog in this site. But when I submitted and click on ping button I got this message :

the owner of Pingoat.com takes great pleasure in banning blogs he feels are spam or spam related...(i.e. generated, scared, just RSS feed etc.) He often will report them to the SE's and he keeps a seperate site just to list the sites he bands.
While it is a fantastic service he offers, and I ping him with all of my WP blogs, I'd reccommend anyone practicing anything a little Grey/black hat SEO style to not include that in your PING list...Just a heads up is all.
