Do you need the entire newsletter package (something to automatically send the newsletter and such) or just something to collect the names and emails?
I would suggest using something like AWeber. They handle everything for you, and provide you with the script to put on your website as well. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

LOL...I just asked a similar question in another forum! Aweber was suggested to me as well as BraveNet and YourMailingList.
Also, mentioned was PHPList (free)
I saw that my Host had this script listed in their Plug-Ins and installed and now have it up and running.

phpList looks pretty good (haven't used it yet, going to try it this weekend). That requires you to have your own hosting, and have php and MySQL on your hosting.
If you use AWeber (you pay monthly for it) then you don't need your own hosting. You just insert some code into your site and VIOLA! the signup form is ready to be used. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

AWeber is probably the simplest one to use, since it does about everything for you. I think they have a trial or something you can test it with. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

Ive found Dadamail to be a great newsletter script. Setting it up is very straightforward. The best thing is that its free, however it does not have autoresponder capabilities. You can only mailout broadcast emails. |

| I didnt give you the URL but just Google it and you'll be sure to find it. It's a CGI script which is very straightforward to setup. It has great documentation to go with it. |

For the real newbies, take a look at mailer4u.com. They handle everything up to 100 emails a month, free. May be a way to at least get started. |

I use a very simple one that I purchased from MegaCGI. You have to pay $99.99 I think and you get access to all their scripts for a year. (You still own them after the year, but you don't get free updates). I'm sure you can find free ones as well. _________________ Chuck Waters
