Post subject: Using Google to generate AdSense income

If you've ever searched for a particular news item at Google, you've probably noticed Google seems to take their news stories from specific sites. I've read discussions on blogs where people were wondering why site X couldn't get their news stories picked up by Google but site Y could.
Anyway, I have Google News Alerts set up on topics that are of interest to me. Whenever a news story appears on that topic, I get an email from Google. The email includes the title of the article (which is also a link to the article), followed by the name & location of the news publication, followed by the first 20-25 words of the news story or article.
Lately, I've started seeing a lot of links to articles from a publication titled, "Money Plans" in Mumbai, India. I thought it was strange to see that publication when most of the other news sources are well known news publications from around the world - newspapers, magazines, radio stations, television networks, etc.
I've clicked on a few of them lately and these folks seem to have scored a coup. They put out news stories and not-so-great articles and they are picked up by Google. Some of the items are clearly not news, they even come from an articles subdomain on the site titled, "archives."
The stories and articles have AdSense ads, some heavily and some a bit more discreet.
I don't know how they did it, but imagine having Google News promote your content that has AdSense ads. Not a bad gig if you can get it.
