One obvious solution is to train a loved one how to maintain and build your empire so they can continue to harness the work you've put into it.
My guess is you'll see someone step up in Corey's shoes that was a close family member or business partner. _________________ Robert

A couple of years ago, I purchase one of those hosting packages that allow you to put up hundreds of mini-sites with one account. After a while, it became obvious the company was one guy, operating from his spare bedroom or whatever.
He did a good job, but I became concerned about having so many eggs in that one basket. What if this guy died? Was there anyone in his family that was even familiar with computers - much less knew how to carry on his business?
I left him and went back to traditional hosting with a larger and more established company. It cost more - but provided more peace of mind.
I think about this when considering software that requires upgrades & support and when considering other services.
It's something we all should consider.

These news are very sad, BUT:
Did you belive him?
For example:
| Quote: | Her camera web site makes $6 MILLION
per year from Australia!"*
Tracey Beckler started using my system as a New Year’s resolution in 2001… in her first six months she made over $100,000.00
Her second year, she made $1,000,000.00... and the year after that, she made $3,000,000.00!
Now, listen as Tracy explains how she's on track to make a whopping $6,000,000.00 this year alone! |
Yeah, I found this site http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au
Alexa page ran is 87,784(not bad).
Please describe me, how can somebody earn millions with sites like this?
| Quote: | "This 59-year-old grandmother makes
$8,500.00 per month..."*
Barbara Jennings was fed up... Working as a consultant, she found herself on a never-ending financial roller coaster.
So she finally decided to take the plunge and start an Internet business doing what she REALLY loves... giving home decorating tips!
Today, her little web site earns as much as $8,500.00 per month , and she only works 30-60 minutes per day!* |
Her site is http://www.decorate-redecorate.com/
She earns more than 100,000 per year with this cheap site. _________________ Be cool. |

Neither of those case studies is out of line with what can be done; and with a basis in the US Corey couldn't advertise those figures if they weren't true; now the figures could be gross sales; the net income is the important part to be honest

Even if you've never met Corey before, the very fact that this sad news leads you to consider your own mortality, if only for a moment, means in your terms his death was not in vain.
From such thinking, as several posters have hinted at, may come more positive changes in your own life and AM career - e.g. a decision to make sensible provision for those "left behind" when your turn comes one day or a renewed enthusiasm to help others learn AM or even the pure joy of sharing the warmth of the sun on your face with someone special. (cue violins...but my aim is True!)
If each life is viewed as a metaphorical movie, how do you think Corey's went?
And if he now has the "opportunity" to review it all in a moment - rather like seeing all those frames from cradle to grave simultaneously - what do you think he's thinking? What scenes/sub-plots/leading characters/locations might be examined for lessons learned?
Meanwhile, for we in this reality there is a great big world of AM out there.
Lights, Cameras, action... |
