While looking to promote products from clickbank I noticed when you look at a merchants site they use javasript to open the new window and recently any javascript I open from anywhere on the internet will show for a split second and then disappear no matter how many times I click on it, I've tried restarting my computer but that didnt seem to help. What can be the problem? and how can I fix it?
Thanks
Stacy

Hello Stacy.

Sorry my poor old brain can't understand exactly what you mean there. Can you explain further, for my benefit at least?

Thanks,
Charlie.

Hi stacy,
From what i understand you seem to click on a link, it opens a new window for a split second and then it disappears right ?
I think you have a pop up blocker. Unfortunately these also block opening new windows. Do you have google or alexa toolbar installed ? These have pop-up blockers, you may have to disable them. Or you could have a pop up blocker sw installed.
My guess is you should have one of the toolbars installed. Try disabling the blocking feature and it should work.
If this is not the problem, post it here with more description. Hope that helps.

To your success,
Gana.

I dont have a pop up blocker and just recently its been more that just javascript my whole computer has just been buggin out since yesterday, the role button on the mouse is suppose the make the site scroll up and down, but sometimes when I use it it'll act as the back button and take me back to the site I was recently on, and it also did this once when I was using the roll button on the mouse it would make the letters on a site bigger or smaller depending on how I rolled the button, and all the sites I go to will show the font size of letters one size bigger and bold, it was never like this before I had this problem. It's starting to get me real upset since I have backup pages of all my sites on my hard drive all my info to run my online business on this hard drive, and its a computer thats about 8 months old. How can I fix this?
Thanks
Stacy

I think the important thing is to get this checked out locally, for the simple reason of your back up data.

It may turn out to be something simple, but I don't know what is casuing it, and if it were me I'd be taking no chances.

Hope this helps,
Charlie.

It's also possible you got infected with a virus, or picked up parasiteware from a site. Either way, with the strange goings-on, definitely something to have checked out locally.

You could do a parasiteware disinfection easily enough, but you have some things happening that lead me to believe a virus or trojan could be responsible.

Personally I would go with McAfee, that's my preference. But Norton's is good from what I hear. I would get a spyware cleaner, such as Adaware from Lavasoftusa.com ... it's free, easily updates, and gets rid of spyware that can cause problems.

However, I believe Norton's and Adaware may be in conflict with each other, but I can't remember where I read that.

I would go with mcafee. They were the king of AV business before and then lost ground to NAV. But now they are regaining their market. They are fast and good. NAV is good too. But sometimes it conflicts with some programs i use. Just my opinion.

To your success,
Gana.

I think it's a good idea to run anti virus software, but still get this looked at ASAP. Those back ups need securing before things get worse.

Cheers,
Charlie.
