Hi folks
A bit of background so you know where I'm going...
Early in 206, I am going to be attempting to set a new world record from the longest non-stop DJ music session. The current official record is 74 - I'm going to be aiming for a minimum of 96 hours, that's 4 days straight with only a 15 minute break every 8 hours.
First, yes I am mad, or so people are telling me.
However, I'm aiming to raise in excess of ?10,000 for Dreamflight, a charity that aims to send extremely sick or disabled children on a dream holiday to Disneyworld, florida.

Hi Darren, Good on you! I hope it goes well.
Unfortunately, your links request doesn't take into account human nature. Some people will give you a link based on your present request. However, you're likely to get a lot more links if you can figure out a way of rewarding people for linking to you.
Can you think of some sort of incentive?
One option would be to conentrate purely on music sites and publicly thank all people who link to you by linking back to them.
Another option would be to put the names of all the people who link to you in a barrel, draw a winner, and give the winner $1,000. You'd have to check on the legality of that where you live. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Hi
Ok, here's the incentive!
The feeling of total contentment and warm fuzzies you'll get by knowing you're help some very brave and sick children. I can't think of a better prize can you?
Seriously though,if I were to start offering cash prizes or the like, that would be money that could be going to the kids.
I'll think on it and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the feedbakc.

In Australia, there's an organization that regularly gives away a house worth about a million dollars as a way of raising funds to help needy kids. It does that so that it can raise more money for the kids, not less. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Why not put up a credits page, where you mention all those people who have linked to you and thank them.
You can also say that every incoming link will get one coupon/month to be added into a great pool from which you draw a winner after your DJing attempt. Winner goes to Disneyland.
Disney will get so much publicity out of this that surely you will find a way in which they donate such a grand prize.
