The detailed specifics of how to go about this process are probably beyond the scope of this post.
You may, however, find it slightly useful to read about some of the equipment others use. By no means is this an endorsement of these companies or products. It's merely what I happen to use at the present moment that I am replying.
Others on this forum probably use equipment superior to this, but at least this might give you something to think about:
Audio:
BOSS BR-532 Digital Studio
You can see a picture of it, as well as an in-depth description by visiting the Roland Corporation website:

Search for a program called SonicMemo. It's available for Mac or PC, and is a pretty easy way to add audio to your site. You buy it once, use it as many time as you like. About $100 I think. I bought an earlier version and was happy. _________________ Free Forum And Ezine Hosting

Hey Varun,
I do all my video on a Mac.
We bought a camcorder a couple years ago and have filmed about a billion hours of Florida nature video. Great fun!
Then I edited it down to 2 hour long movies, using iMovie the free movie editor that comes with every Mac. iMovie is, for my taste, the perfect blend between features and ease of use.
I presented the video on the Web using Quicktime, again from Apple.
This probably won't help you, but if you do have access to a Mac, a wonderful world of movies awaits you there. _________________ Free Forum And Ezine Hosting

I've seen various services where you would take an audio (and sometimes a video) file, and the software would automagically convert it so it plays on the web site. However it's clear that under the covers that software is simply producing a flash file.
You could well do it yourself with Flash. _________________ Free tutorial and guide to building & promoting web sites.
