I have gone a step further and use Express Engine. My writers input their edited articles into a form like you are using now on this board. Then all I have to do is hit "approve" or post or whatever.

How does this work with formatting the pages? Do you create a template that gets populated with the article once it's approved? Can things like the hyperlinks, alt text, meta tags, etc. be created on the fly as well or do you have to go in and edit the page afterwards?

I've been contemplating some type of CMS option since I've stepped up the number of articles I'm posting - I can only get so many done in a day by doing them manually. Where can I get more information about Express Engine?

Thanks Very Happy

A conent management system separates code from content. Just like Dream weaver and other html editors, the power is minimizing duplicate tasks.

So, yes if the article already has hyperlinks blah blah then a cut and paste is easily done. But, the better way to do it is to get writers to input their stuff directly where you just have to approve it (or not if you want).

It takes a while to get use to the tool you use, but it is a win in the long run.

This is the link for express engine: http://www.pmachine.com/expressionengine/

If you are not familiar with PHP or code in general it will be a tough road. I will not mask that. However, it is my tool of choice. Especially since each article you add hass a RSS feed and can be auto pinged to servers.

There are other systems out there that are good as well.
