I finally got on-line and created my first page in SBI today. THEN, shock of shocks, it said it was submitting the page to the SEs. Exclamation I just wanted to try out the design tools. I wasn't ready to make it for real!! Now what? I looked around the site but it does not seem to have a "turn on/off" submission setting. I thought maybe it would ask me if I was ready!

Any real damage done? Should I just ignore it?

No damage done Smile

The page is live and will be submitted. But remember it can take months to be indexed by the engines. So just continue to edit the page as needed, and add others too.

Hope this helps,
Debs

Hi Richard,

Play around, do different things, try this, try that, use the preview feature, use the AnalyzeIt feature...

...Nothing will happen until you hit BuildIt.

All the best,
Larry Chamberlain.

You might want to add the following meta tag to your pages until you are ready for the search engines to spider them:

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

This will keep the SEs from indexing your page before it is ready.

If anyone else thinks this would harm his page's chances of being indexed later, please say so. I don't want to give harmful advice.

Take care,

Bob

It would be no problem if he were updating pages, unfortunately, with no access to the head section in SBI building blocks, it isn't an option.
