I personally use http://www.sxc.hu/ They have great images and best of all they are 100% free.
I also www.hemera.com although hemera has merged with some other image provider now.

I'm another IstockPhoto user. I locked in a few credits when they were only 50cents a pop. They have a sister site too- Istockpro

www.sxc.hu - and was delighted to get good comments (no, I'm not a photographer, I was just trying to prove a point to someone.) However, while most of the pics are free, there are some photographers there who provide free images for personal use and have completely different terms for commercial use. By commercial use, I guess they mean doing things like publishing calendars, etc, using their pics - but you still ought to check with them 
Just thought I should drop a gentle nudge into the conversation :O

I recently discovered http://www.morguefile.com. It's an excellent resource for photos. And they are FREE!
