Is it just me? I don't think so. For several weeks, I've subscribed to this forum's RSS feed on my MyYahoo page, and I enjoyed being able to glance at the newest posts and click through when there was something that caught my eye.

Since February 1st, no recent posts have been showing up on the page (they display the latest 5 posts, as long as they're 3 days old or newer). Nothing shows.

So I went into the XML of the RSS feed (on the right hand side of most forum pages), and displayed it. It seems to be displaying the date of January 3rd for February 3rd posts, for example. Right now this post is on the top:
http://www.associateprograms.com/discus/ftopic8869.html

and the date when you read it is February 3rd, but in the XML is shows as 2005-01-03, which is January 3rd, therefore MyYahoo thinks it's more than 3 days old.

Has this problem been reported before? I want my feed back!

Weird! In the RSS reader I'm using, I'm seeing the latest posts displayed.
(They were spam, which I've just deleted.)

Try unsubscribing and then subscribe again, and see if that helps.

Allan, I just tried removing, then adding it back. When I do, it says the latest post is more than 1 month old.

View the XML of the feed, you'll see that the dates say January. For example the most recent post, as I type this, says the date is 2005-01-05, it should be 2005-02-05.

Hi mdmsports,

I'm Allan's programmer, and I set up the RSS feed. Are you still getting problems with it? It seems to work fine for me...

Thanks,
Chris Pearce.

Chris, yes there is still a problem. Again, look at the XML that's produced, the latest entry has a date that says 2005-01-06, that means January 6th, it should say 2005-02-06. The problem first started on February 1st, until then there was no problem. Look at the XML, you'll see what I mean.

Hi Dennis, Chris seems to have figured out how to solve this problem. The RSS feed in My Yahoo now shows how recently new posts were added.

Thanks for your patience.

For anyone interested, here's how to add the RSS feed for this forum and other RSS feeds to your My Yahoo page:

Login at My Yahoo.

Click on Add Content

Click on Add RSS by URL and follow the instructions.

Allan and Chris,
Yes, I noticed they started showing up again yesterday. First I figured it was just a February problem for some reason, until I realized that yesterday was still (barely) February. Thanks for not forgetting about me, since I was the only one who seemed to notice.

Now I can easily check in a few times daily to the interesting topics that always seem to pop up.
