Post subject: Mozilla Site Layout Prob

My site looks fine in IE and Netscape, however not so good in Mozilla. You can see Table outlines and some other items that are supposed to be hidden. Any solutions? I thought there was a code to put in at the beginning of the pages, but I'm unsure.

Can you post your link (in your sig would be safest) so people can look at it? Kind of hard to give you an answer w/out looking at the site.

I get the same problem with one site. The table cells are aligned horizontal properly but the vertical alignment is skewed. I have checked the alignment and it is correct but the page loads wrong in Firefox.
This is the only issue I have seen. For me it is a small price to pay for a great browser (on to 3 months now with no adware or spyware  ).

Many of those problems can be avoided by using XHTML Transitional, and making sure your site validates. XHTML Strict can be a bit hard to validate to unless your very careful, and good with CSS.

Thank you all for your input....a friend of mine noticed that some of my border widths were set at "1" and not "0" This could not be seen in IE or Netscape.......strange, but true LOL So as I update my pages I will be correcting it.

I didn't expect Mozilla's Firefox browser to take-off so quickly - it's really popular and promoted me to revisit my own website templates. They function fine across the browsers - but the "form" of some elements look a slightly different in Firefox.
Solution / Tip - Watch your "width" properties in your css as it can create an overspill effect. Correction to this typically addresses Safari issues too.
I agree with edburdo (above) - whether you're building in html or xhtml, validation is important.
I am in the process of releasing a new template series which is HTML & CSS transitional with the w3.org. I even bought a Mac so as to test on both platforms - the templates are tested on IE, Netscape, FireFox, Opera, and Safari (Mac). You can see these on our site - they're called Ready-2-Go templates.
