Post subject: More PSA ads on Adsense?
|
|
|
Not only am I seeing more PSA's on my sites that used to get good ads, I'm seeing PSA's on some large respected sites.
Anyone read anything new on this lately?

PSA's come for a couple reasons ...
1. Google has a hard time figuring out the content targeting of the page;
2. Fewer advertisers because of budget constraints (happens a lot at the end and beginning of each month);
3. #2 above PLUS fewer advertisers opting into the Adsense contextual marketing OR more advertisers opting out;
4. There may be terms on the page that kick in the Adsense sensor, such as blood, death, drugs, *** and variations thereof ... usually seen a lot on news sites;
5. No advertisers for what Google has decided is the content targeting of that page
