Today when I logged into my adsense account, I had to go through a terms and conditions page (I agree to) again - I think it was because of the update? Anyway, the clause that says affiliate links are allowed isn't there anymore...so does this mean I'm in default? I've added adsense to most of my pages and I've got banner ads, in context links etc but all to affiliate merchants...do I have to take the ads off now?

Have they changed the rules? Any thoughts? I know I've asked this before and everyone seemed to think that affiliate links were okay but now that the clause seems to have changed does it apply?

No the rules are still the same, maybe just a little clearer though. The FAQ is an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. The FAQ states you can not serve competing Ads (ads that mimic the look of Adsense). Be sure and browse the FAQ to see if there is anything else that may affect your site.

Hope this helps,
Debs

I eventually plucked up enough courage to send an email out to google and have them look at my site to see if it's in compliance and what a relief - they said everything was above board and good so I don't have to worry anymore - I can sleep better now. Very Happy
