The reason it was a waste of money and why I said you do not need it if you have Kens book is that it is too basic. If you have Site Sell you know all the basics already. it is really for people who do not have any idea of how to go about things. I didn't learn anything new.

I agree much of it is "basic" and covers the same old ground, but I certainly learnt a thing or two about marketing with the PPCs. And I'd read quite a lot on the subject before that.

Just my opinion,
Charlie.

Gotta agree with Charlie on this one....

I think Rosalind's eBook is 248 pages.

One single page in that book was worth the $47 to me.

It was the page that showed the spreadsheet she uses to determine if a niche will be profitable for her before she even builds the first page!

Priceless information, IMHO. Smile

George again,

few answers about super affiliate handbook.

1)Rosalind only covers major PPCs.
Charlie you say:"learnt a thing or two about marketing with the PPCs"
In what page charlie? Rosalind just include PPCs links.

2)
Quote:

Mike,if you do it this manually will take ages for 100-200 keywords AT least...

3)Rosalind promotes HEAVILY affiliates programs trough out the book.
I consider myself an average user and I don't like to read a manual that claims to teach me how to build an affiliate site, only to find out that someone tries to sell me things only after a read 5 pages. Crying or Very sad

4)Rosalind promotes SBI as the best solution.

Conclusion :
Try out SBI(it includes an Action guide) and download Ken Evoys Affiliate book(it's free, see my previous post for details).

Best possibly answer for Rosalind book:
Buy the book and if you don't like it, just refund it as I did!

P.s Also you can refund SBI if you don't find it useful.
Here you will find more info about: SBI

Hope this will help,

George

Hi George,

Actually, I did use this method for site research early in September for a site I had in mind. I pulled in 96 keywords for an analysis.

The whole process took 3 hours.

Of course, this was a topic I knew well, so keyword research went fairly quickly.

Yes, plugging everything in manually take time and work. On the other hand, once I applied the mathematical formulas to the spreadsheet once, and saved it for later use, all I had to do the next time was enter the keyword, and the number of seraches, and my spreadsheet automatically computed all my other numbers for me.

Later that day, I researched another topic with 56 keywords. With my new formulas in place, this took 55 minutes. Smile

A real time saver.

Oh, the result of the first site?

The topic I wanted to create a site about was WAY too saturated to be profitable. Thus, I saved myself weeks of time trying to create a site that had an iffy chance of success at best.

=============================

I've also been around long enough to know that anyone who is very unhappy with a product or service will rarely, if ever, change their mind about it.

That's perfectly okay.

We all have different perceptions, and different experiences in life that color our views of things. That's what makes a forum like this so great. We can often have opinions that run at opposite ends of the spectrum....

...and both be right - based on our own experiences. Smile

Then it's up to others to determine which of those experiences most closely matches their own.

That is what makes this fun for me, and why I keep coming back.

Cheers!
~Mike

Hello George.

In what page charlie?

I'll be honest - I can't remember exactly what, let alone what page!

I've read a great many marketing books - before and since. I take notes, and use various ideas, but I sometimes have trouble where individual ideas came from. What I do is remember, is that I got some useful ideas on PPCs. Sorry it's so vague. Seems ages ago.

Let's face it, this is the dilemma all affiliate marketers have to come to terms with... what is an acceptable level of "promotion".

At the end of the day, people who promote affiliate programs tend to "promote affiliate programs" whenever they write - free or paid for.

I don't like it either, sometimes, George, but I'm afraid it's the way things are. As you said, those refund deals are genuine, and no-one should feel guilty about using them if they genuinely aren't happy.

Just my opinion,
Charlie.

I browsed the ebook's site to see if I would promote it and was instantly turned off. She shows a CJ stats pages and another "unnamed" stats page. Well the unnamed stats page is iFriends, a pornographic web cam affiliate program. I am not sure why she displays this particular statistical screen shot or why she purposely leaves out the source, but it was enough for me to not trust the numbers she quotes and her techniques. If you take the average of the two weeks she displays from iFriends (about $7114.3) and multiple by 52 = $369943.6 which leaves only $66853 that was earned by programs outside of this adult web cam program.

What is even more amazing is how many people provided her with good reviews without ever asking about the source of this second stats page.

Hi Skeptic,

Ifriends has many categories, not only an Adult one.

Rosalind commisions are mostly from date oriented websites.

She promotes them from a BIG email list with loyal readers.

I am still skeptical for 2 reasons:

1. She did not list iFriends as the source of the check but did for CJ
2. Yes, they have a dating section. But go to iFriends, select the dating section and the pages also link to the adult content.

I know all of this becuase they approached me to promote their so called "dating" sections. I did for a few days but after complaints from my users about the adult material in the dating sections I investigated further and I dropped them

I think everyone has personal views on what they feel is appropriate for their site. And, if you visit a site and feel any of their content is inappropriate, I think you would agree you would go elsewhere.

Rosalind promoting a dating site, and including links to any site that provides those services, whether they be appropriate by your standards or mine, is her choice. It is, after all, her site.

I fail to see how her doing this makes her book bad in anyway. She did the site, she got the traffic, she made the commissions. Almost $500,000 in earnings last year from online. It doesn't mean you can't make money using her strategies, or that you will make 1/2 million a year using them.

Your point about the unnamed check may be valid, and in some people's eyes enough reason to either investigate further, or move on. Just because Rosalind promotes IFriends doesn't mean everyone should.

I think the point of her book was more of a learn how to earn money online than an endorsement to do a dating service review site like hers. After all, it's much more fun to bring our own interests and passion to a site than to follow the leader. Smile

The important thing is we each have our opinions, and ability to express them. As well as the ability to view others opinions from the viewpoint of perspective, our own standards, and/or personal experience. That's what makes these forums fun! Laughing

That's what I think...

I don't think this is the best book available on Affiliate Programs, but it is certainly good value for money - if you use the ideas, or generate new ones of your own, as a result.

I like to find examples of successful sites, analyse them and do my own thing anyway. That's why I often argue with people who have a successful, proven method.

I don't think following someone's "successful philosophy" blindly is necessarily any more sensible than ignoring it altogether. The trick is to pick the best bits from everyone, and then do your own thing anyway.

I suggest you are the world's leading expert on being yourself, even if you do have a lot of competition! Wink

All the best,
Charlie.
