Hello,

I've been lurking and learning here for a long time. Thanks.

We all know that in order to make an income from an affiliate web site you need...

1) Good keyword focused content and LOTS OF IT
2) Qualified visitors - lot of people interested in your topic

Here are my thoughts for building the ultimate template...

1) Needs to be simple and search engine friendly, yet look good, trustworthy, etc.

2) Have Google AdSense in the right or left column for income generation.

3) Have RSS for sydicating content throughout the NET.

4) Be in Blog format for easy uploading of new content. [Optional]
(Although this is not critical as I can use HTML editor - FrontPage)

Here are a few examples of sites that do this...

* Andrew Goodman's http://www.traffick.com/ (Best template example)

* James Martell's http://www.1st-in-cell-phones.com/ (Simple content site w/ no RSS)
[As you know, James makes tons of money on affiliate sites!]

* Gary Antosh's http://www.internet-speed-guide.com/

Here are the BIG QUESTIONS...

In your opinion, what is the best, easiest, most cost effective technology behind putting RSS into your template?

What other features so you think would make this template even better?

Inquiring minds want to know... Wink

Best,

Matt

well it's proven that if you place the adsense on your banner place, or underneath it ,u'll get even more clicks!

Actually last I heard the left and right vertical banners get the most clicks for Adsense. I wondered why the urls were posted above as none of them would I classify as an affiliate site.

jack, you may not classify martell's or gary's sites as affiliate sites, but they are. They are content sites not sales sites, like yours, but they are still affiliate sites.
