Does anyone know if Commision junction has a contact phone number, ive joined recently and I have alot of queries but i find their "ask a question" thingy very tedious, because their support staff dont appear to understand my questions, and its taking forever to find things out? |

Glad to help, Fred.
If you forget it, or misplace it, simply type in "www.cj.com", then scroll to the bottom. There you'll find the number.
Personally, I would never use their e-mail for customer support. Via the phone, I've never had a bad experience.
Good Luck!

On the old boards recently you mentioned a good search engine submission service, it was on one of your anti sitebuild posts, could you please post it again if you can think of it,
thanks

Fred,
I'm not sure what you're talking about. I remember a post where I listed tons of links, but I don't think any of them were "SE submission" sites, as I have my "strong" opinion of those sites also.
You might be referring to this site: http://www.netmechanic.com/toolbox/html-code.htm but I certainly wouldn't recommend signing up for the service, nor using the SE submission tool. I'd only recommend that as a free means to check your HTML, site speed and browser compatibility.
If you plan on using one of those sites, cross your fingers, take a deep breath, part with your money, then hope to God your site doesn't get "blacklisted" for "spamming" the SE's.
My advice is DO NOT submit to the search engines, unless it's a human edited directory. Let them find you.
Find the keywords you want to be listed in, contact a webmaster in the top 3, send em an e-mail asking for a link back, and tell em you'll pay for it. $50 via paypal upfront. I'd make sure you do your homework though, meaning I'd make sure that webmaster has been at the top for a long while and views his site more of a "content" site, rather than a "sales" site.
Fifty bucks is a lot less than $299 submission to Yahoo. You get linked on a heavily spidered site, odds are you'll be in the top 15, providing your site has good content and is relevant, within weeks if not days.
Hope that helps.
