Post subject: How can I see which forums can help me improve link pop?
|

|
Hi Folks,
I've read more than once that submitting to forums that archive online can help improve link popularity.
But how can I tell that a forum would help me on that account?
BTW, I don't want to post messages JUST FOR link pop.
Any answers greatly appreciated!
Regards,

Hello Erwin.
There's been talk recently that Google has now stopped counting links from forums when it comes to link popularity. (They still follow the links, though.)
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Forums are a great resource of learning and helping others ... giving back as it were. Definitely continue with forums that interest you and offer help as you can, and learn what you need.
As far as link popularity though, I would strongly recommend you just search out those sites that would tie in well with yours and request a link exchange.
Some forums have sections for link exchanges, like this one, and most allow a signature line. You could post in your signature line your url, and "Looking for link exchanges" to help your cause along.
Just my 2 cents,
