Do check out the Martell forum, you will get your answers there. This question has been asked and answered in depth.
How many links into your site do you have at Yahoo, Google, AlltheWeb?

Stony, I didn't ask how many pages in your site were in the SE's ... I asked how many links into your site ... commonly referred to as backlinks.
Those are other sites that link to you, not the SE's themselves, as they don't count in backlinks. Commonly you get these links by exchanging links with other sites, distributing articles, and other sites linking to your site because they find it a great resource.
If that last paragraph was Greek to you then you need to research backlinks, getting links in, etc. and that will improve the spidering, indexing and ranking of your site in the SE's.

That's a real problem ... work on getting more links in ... without them you won't rank well and you won't get traffic.
You can:
write articles and distribute them, include a resource box at the end that includes a link to your site
exchange good quality links with on topic sites that will benefit your visitors too
pay for text ads on other sites ... related topic of course ... although these will need to stay up for a long time to do any good ... I would suggest you go for several specific pages on a site for the ads vs. all pages of a site
list your site as available for link exchanges with link exchanges sites (don't however do it with sites that require a link back)
Hope this helps,

Me too, might even be an 8 (I use the mozilla PR addon so it doesn't give a number, just the bar)
what page are you looking at Stony? pages can have different PR and I wouldn't be surprised if some pages on the site are PR 2, but if you want to see what a site has overall, just check the home page.

We understand your using the toolbar, but what page on Allan's site showed the PR 2?

Using the Goolbar - I mean the Google toolbar - occasionally I've seen a zero PageRank which surprised me. I've clicked the Refresh button and then seen a different PageRank.
Perhaps you were actually seeing the PageRank of the previous site you visited or something. _________________ Allan Gardyne
