You have to put in a lot of work, it is not an overnight get rich thing, but it will last much longer and with less investment than most other affiliate promotion stuff.
The biggest work and time committment is getting good content, starting with 50 to 100 pages per site, and building each site to over 200 pages. You can write your own, hire it done, and use some article distribution, but it will still take a considerable amount of time.
The second biggest thing is waiting for indexing by the SE's, getting good quality links into your site from other sites ... this can take months. It is quite common for it to take 6 months before a site matures to a steady traffic level based on SE rankings which can produce regular income.

| Debs, you are busy on these boards. What is article distribution? Is there ways to get articles for free from other authors and post them on my site? If so, if these same articles are posted on other's site does it get taken as duplicate content from the search engines standpoint? Will my site be penelized for this? |

It's optional but it is very helpful.
Some affiliate programs offer it as a payment option which means you can get your payment faster.
Many vendors sell stuff you may need (templates for example) through paypal as well.
If you end up selling your own stuff, it can be an easy way to accept payment. |

Yes i understand but the problem is, PayPal does offer its service in country where i am residing.
When you say it's optional does that mean there is another way of getting paid, or does that depened on Affiliate?
Thank you |

You can always get paid by check (most common way I imagine). Paypal is just more convenient with certain affiliate programs. Most individual affiliate programs, affiliate networks and ad networks pay by check and some offer the option of direct deposit.
You can also always pay for things with a credit card (like templates and stuff) if a business will accept it. |

Whether paypal would work in your country, you would have to check with the paypal site itself.

Yes Debs i mistyped, i meant to write PayPal does NOT offer service in my country, that's why i wanted to know if there is an alternative..
Thank you to you Debs, and to you MakeMoney.
I will now write down the cons and the pros, and than decide if i buy it... but in the end one more question to those willing to answer it..
Do you regret buying the handbook, if you had a chance to go back in time, would you take the same path? |

I knew a little about marketing and SEO before I bought it. I still found it very helpful and motivational. He shows you how to get organized and how best to construct a website among other things. A lot of it in retrospect seems very common sense to me now, but was a mystery to me before I got the manual. To me the manual was worth far more than the $167 just for the practical site building advice alone.
But you will have to work at it. There is just no way around that unfortunately. Its really like anything else that offers potential great rewards. You have to make a consistent effort. |

Luzy,
I can honestly say that I do not regret purchasing the handbook. On the contrary, it has been the single best internet marketing related purchase I have made. Like makemoney, a some of the points seem very basic after you've been working with it for awhile. But, I desperately needed the step-by-step method of production. Most of the other marketing products that I have bought told me what to do but not how to do it.
I will readily admit that I'm not rolling in the money yet. LOL I just bought the handbook in July and I have two sites up. One is very new, the other has been up about six weeks. Things look good and my stats indicate that the searchers are starting to come, little by little. I'm still adding content so that's what slowing it up more than anything. It's not easy. Truly, it is no "get rich quick" scheme. It takes work and smarts, but you can do it.
Good luck,
