I just put a bunch of AdWords banners on my best affiliate site, and I'm surprised by the amount of clicks. I also noticed a small uptick in traffic. Go figure. But the ads that appear directly compete with the products I have affiliate links for on my site. Although I haven't seen a noticeable drop in sales yet, I can't help but wonder if I'm losing affiliate sales (which pay much more than a Google AdSense click-through) to AdSense click-throughs. Is there a scenario where AdSense doesn't make $ense?

The answer, of course, is to test and see what works for you.

So far, it is completely surprising that no one has noticed a drop in other revenue when adding AdSense.

You can block up to 200 URLs. But, this will lead to less AdSense revenue since the highest paid AdWords are usually on top.

We have one info site that basically blasts the type of products in the AdWords. Yet, there has been no decrease in our sales -- and the AdSense revenue is nice.

My guess is that the people who would not have bought from us (and like the kind of products in the AdWords) are clicking on the AdWords. However, we'll see over time.
