Post subject: SE Friendly Page Links - Which is better?
|
|
|
Hello,
I have a site that includes various product reviews. I currently have all the products in a dropdown menu list. But then I started wondering if the SE spiders prefer to see plain text links instead of HTML lists.
What's your opinion / experience?
Thanks.

| I can't cite you a source, so don't necessarily take my word alone on this one, but I've read that the search engines will not read things in drop-down boxes. To be on the safe side, you might want to add some redundancy... list your product reviews on the site map or add text links at the bottom of the page or something. |

That's right - search engines will not pickup drop down menu links.
You will have to expose your internal links for the search engines to pick up. |
