I was a member of an affiliate program you have listed here
http://www.associateprograms.com/
called ASIAROOMS
Firstly
I have lost many thousands of dollars from this company over the 18 months I was involved with this company (I am no longer an active member)
My websites were generating several thousand click throughs a day (on a quiet day) and I was making several thousand dollars USD a month (or so I thought)
At first I did not check the amounts against the cheques recieved until 1 day I was showing someone how the affiliate program worked and I noticed the amount of approx $4,000 was available for the month of September 2001
When I received my cheque for THAT month, i received only approx $1,200 (that is a big disparity)
Please note that AsiaRooms.com paid every 3 months, so my financial loss was enormous
So I send an email and asked what had happened
They told me that they would look into it
3 more emails and several months later, I received a payment for $700 (yes only 700) dollars and I was told that there was an accounting error "Somewhere"
Anyway
To cut the story short, I continued monitoring the stats against the cheques received and noticed that I was ALWAYS out of pocket several hundred dollars to over $5,000 for the months October through December 2001
at that stage (Mar/Apr 2002) I dropped the program completely
I spoke to a french guy and a french girl (forgot their names) who worked for the company based in Thailand.
They assured me that the ONLY person who could TOUCH my money was the owner of the company
When I asked to speak with the owner, they said that he did NOT accept "calls"
Perhaps I should have gone to Thailand and seen him in person.
Anyway
This is a company of [One word deleted. You've made your point without using it. Admin.] from my personal experience.

BondiGold,
I'm sorry about your bad experience.
I checked the site and could find no information about an affiliate program so I wrote and asked if it was still operating. I did not receive a response so I've deleted the listing from the directory. _________________ Glennys Faulds

| I was an affiliate of Asia Rooms and got paid pretty regularly, but never actually checked too closely on the amounts. I was then told I had to move from AsiaRooms to AsiaVoyage24. I think that this was because there was a permanent Cookie on AsiaRooms that gave you commission on any booking made later by the client, and so they wanted to get people like us who had been involved since the early days into a new system to avoid paying the referrals. Since then the number of bookings recorded has dropped enormously, to almost nothing - but, to my surprise, they did pay us a small amount last month. I was not sure it they were just incompetent or dishonest. The staff who I dealt with were always students seconded to Thailand from France. We had pretty much decided to delist them because the look to book ratio is so low, this series of posts has confirmed my decision. Thak you all. |

Hi,
We just visit this website and found your question about hotel affiliate program. I work for Agoda and we also offer hotel affiliate program however we call it "Partner program"
our company offer our products (world wide hotels) for individual website. however our strong point has always been Asia, specially in Thailand.
Our commission rates are based on the number of actual departures in a calendar month. Booking departures refer to completed bookings where the customer has stayed at and departed the hotel. All commission is calculated from our net margin on each booking. our commission rate is base on the number of departure. for example:1?50 will receive 35% commission and more departured bookins will have increase in percentage in commission.
our website is http://partners.agoda.com _________________ Sincerely,

Unfortunately there are a lot of affilaite programs that will never pay out anything.
I've seen plenty of sites with affilaite programs, you sign up and put your links up and then you try to write and ask a question and you never hear from them.
Many get people signed up and just change the rules on the fly.
It's very common for sites to kill an affiliate program but keep all the links working.
The world is full of scammers. And there is no real way to know other than to read forum experiences of others.
Nothing in life is "fair". Sorry to hear you got suckered for so long. _________________ FREE SEO and Keyword Suggestion Tools
