Hello!

RE: Dreamweaver/tables/Hyperlinks

When I made some words Hyperlinks in my tables everything looked fine until I previewed the page in IE. The links seem fine until I mouse-over, when they then become HUGE and the cells expand also. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Hi! I haven't opened Dreamweaver to check exactly what your options might be, but:

1. check your page properties, where you tell DW what the links will be.

2. i only use a little bit of style sheets and i do them specifically to remove underlines and create hover effects. did you inadvertently (i don't know how that would be possible ...) create a style sheet?

3. in either case, if you're not getting results, why not go into CODE view. you have to love HTML - or any language for that matter - your code will tell you exactly what you've instructed the page to do to get the big old text. and you can change the code.

Hope it helps!

i solved my problem...i think....it was the numeric value in the code below:

</STYLE>

<style fprolloverstyle>
A:hover {color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 9em}
.style1 {color: #FFFFEF}
</style>

Thanks

Two things I know of right off can make hyperlinks (on hover) be larger than the standard links

1. if you bold the hover and not the standard link;
2. if you use a different (larger) font size for hover than you do the regular link

Check your code to see if this is the problem.
