When link exchanging, which page should incoming links point to? I mean, does it matter if all the incoming links go to the home page or if they are all distributed equally with all pages? What would be the difference?

Whichever page people link to, PageRank will trickle through to other pages on your site, helping your whole site.
It's very useful to get links both to your main page and also to individual pages.
If, for example, you've optimized an internal page for the phrase "blue widgets", it would be very helpful if you had people linking directly to that page, using the words "blue widgets" as the achor text - the words people click on.
Doing that would increase your chances of having that page rank highly in search engines. _________________ Allan Gardyne
