Post subject: Wealthy Secrets - The good or the bad?

Joe Kumar recently sent this to his affiliates...
http://www.joekumar.com/junksecrets.html
Previously he had sent out a letter about Wealthy Secrets. I am not overly fond of the tone of "text" used in the above letter... but the problems behind do worry me. Is this something worth getting into?
I just received Allan's email and he mentioned Wealthy Secrets... so anyone else have any experience in this? _________________ Eric D. Burdo

Larry has a good point though... (read it here: http://www.ozemedia.com/cgi-bin/webbbs/webbbs_config.pl?read=5055 )
So, Allan. What's your take? Problem blown out of proportion? Complete misunderstanding that isn't being resolved? Or is Carlos running some hype?
Since cash is tight, I get real leary about paying for a subscription newsletter. The last one I was a member of didn't warrant the expense, so I had to end it.
And, is this something that could be promoted well w/out pushing to the "internet marketing" scene? That's one niche I am not going into. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

Just to clarify that...
What you saw was a section marked "SPONSOR".
That was a paid ad in my newsletter. I have no experience with Wealthy Secrets. I don't want to comment on a product I haven't read.
I think this incident is a good reminder that when we send an email to someone we don't know very well we need to be aware that the email could be made public one day. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Thanx for clarifying that Allan. I missed the fact that it was a sponsor. I think I will wait and see what comes of it. I am doing my best to stay out of the "internet marketing" scene. At this time, I don't feel like taking on the "big boys" to try and compete, when there are plenty of niche markets to work with.
And many products are geared primarily to marketers... That's why I like Ken's products so much. They can be used for just about any niche. I even have started applying some of the MYWS and MYSS (as well as some SBI concepts) to my programming site... and that site isn't even designed to be a source of income. Just something I like doing. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

I agree Eric, I like staying out of that arena too! Especially after today. I got the email from Joe Kumar also, and saw Garcia's response on Phil's site. As well as a dozen other comments spread about on different forums.
I think they both need to grow up. Joe needs to learn that no matter how mad and upset you are ... you DO NOT send an email to your list until you calm down. I, for one, didn't appreciate the language he used, especially considering the mail came to the family mailbox!
I never subscribed to anything from Garcia, and now I certainly won't. Joe just lost a subscriber he did have. Life is too short to deal with soap diva's when you don't have to.
Best always,
