Hey people, i have been working on a 24 fan website for a few days now and i have got the main design. Before i move on to adding content i need to know if im continuing with the correct design and look, therefore i ask for your thought and opinions on my site so far, no links work but the main design and look is there.
Be honest
Chris

The design is light and easy on the eyes. Two typos ...
should be Episode in the top navigation not Episdode
and you have unofficialy on the page twice, should be unofficially, or grammatical unofficial.
The only problem I see is the background image for each of the blocks does make it hard to read text where the image appears.

thanks for your input Debs, i didnt notice those spelling mistakes, about the background i wanted to keep in theme with my logo thats why i picked that background, i was thinking maybe start it with the blue light lines then the rest white, because atm it is just repeating because the table is higher than the image.

You could use the background image at the top of the block, even showing a headline (bigger and bold) text well, but when it comes to plain text, it is harder to read.

Hello..nice site. I'm working on one now too, and as you show, I think that easy and simple is the way to go.
The only things that I would change are:
1) your news headings all appear to be the same . Perhaps center and bold the "24 News" and the "24 Online News" so they read as seperate news catagories?
2) I like your use of blue, but when the text runs over the thin blue lines it starts to blur and cheapen' on the eye. Can you manipulate the lines?
Thanks!

Thanks for your comments mel, i have centered the main headings aka '24 news'.
When you say manipulate the thin blue lines, do oyu mean make it so that you can only see them where there is no text or only light blue lines on some text.

Hello again...if you really want my honest opinion, you still need to work out some of your design. I am by no means a prof. at this, but I do surf, a lot. (Just ask my hubby). I will need a lot of input when I'm done too!!
1) Yes, the light blue lines behind your text make it look sloppy, like you are just typing over someone elses template and it makes the text look sloppy.
2) I did not even not notice your one nav. bar.....more later
3) Your bottom of the page links/nav don't work?
I have to run.....
