There is currently an auction running on eBay concerning AdSense. The eBay user who posted the auction paid for it to be a Featured auction - I saw the ad when I visited eBay's home page.
The auction is in violation of eBay's policies because it's not really selling anything, it's just promoting a website. If someone reports it to eBay and eBay gets around to checking on it before it expires, they will probably take it down. Anyway, if you read the description, it refers you to a site www.swapclicks.com Reading the site contents, it seems they are engaging in a scheme to encourage people to click on each other's ads.
If anyone here knows someone at AdSense, you might want to make them aware of this site (and the auction on eBay) in case they are not familiar with it. This is the kind of thing that causes problems for the honest AdSense publishers.

Sometimes we run across things that we are interested and we make a purchase right there on the spot. If you don?t see what you are looking for on a members site please remember to check out their other ads on the site to try and find what you are looking for.
It is no different that going to a search engine and searching for something, then clicking on the advertisement links. The only difference is, you get a portion of the click income. |

Maybe that's why they're selling it! LOL 
I think Google should secretly buy it, then ban all of the participants, permantely! Heck, the engineers Google has could probably hack into it easily.

On the other hand, this way Google will not associate this... this... "guest"  with AP.

It's easy to get money when all you're doing is stealing it from someone else. Easy until you get caught that is.
You can debate the nature of taxes until you're blue in the face, but what taxes are or are not is irrelevant here. What you're doing is still fraud.
You're stealing from people who want to advertise their products. Instead of getting advertising, they're getting clicks from uninterested people who intentionally click the ads just to pocket the advertisers' money.
Furthermore, you're also putting the whole system at risk. Given enough people like you and no one will want to advertise on AdSense Web sites anymore. |
