Post subject: Use of "file name"
|
|
|
In Allan Gardyne's article "How to boost your AdSense revenue" the suggestion is made to:
" ... be sure to use important keywords in the file name of each page, such as "contextual-advertising.html" for an article on contextual advertising."
I'm not sure what is meant by "file name". Is this a meta tag? If so, what is the format? If not a meta tag, what is it?
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Ross |

File name means page name ... when you create a new page for your website you have to name it, it is also considered a "file" on your site.
It is not a metatag at all.
Have you seen the file names after domains show up in the address box of your browser? For instance: http://www.domain.com/index.html
index.html is a file and the name of the file is index ...
