I have spent a long, long time configuring my site and am loathe to move but I just don't think it's going to work at the current hosting company.

It has a light-to-moderate bit of PHP/mySQL going and I would like to add more (some kind of shopping cart, for example).

At my current host the shopping cart (PHPSHOP for example) absolutely brings the server down. That shouldn't be happening. It's not a 'heavy' shopping cart. Other PHP/mySQL functions are slow as well.

Has to have PHPAdmin available or I'll feel 'blind' (LOL).

Does anyone have *personal* experience with a FAST host that can handle PHP/mySQL apps without limping off and dying? I have seen PHPSHOP perform lightning fast so I know it can be done.

1and1. You have 1 MySQL db, and PHP. You can install PHPMyAdmin, and most anything else you want.

I have run some pretty intensive PHP scripts, and never ran into speed issues yet.

Link is below in my sig...

You can get 500MB and 10GB monthly Traffic with ALL the bells and whistles, including your Mysql manager, autoresponders, unlimited emails, subdomains, redirecting, latest ver. of Control Panel, Front Page extensions, domain parking, SPAMBUSTER, SSL, etc.

The best part is, it's ONLY $4.95 /month! Ever since I started using the service I've kept my eye out for a better deal, so far I have not found one. I am running a number of php and MySql based scripts on the site with no problems at all.

I have been running my site, http://vastdream.com on these fast servers for
about a year and a half, with no problems, even on high-flow months.

Just go to http://vastdream.com/Hosting to get more info.

Good luck.
